Pat Robertson Steps Down as the Daily 700 Club Host

After 60 years of history-making TV ministry, Pat Robertson has stepped down as The 700 Club’s daily host. He made the announcement on CBN’s 60th anniversary of their first broadcast!

His legacy will continue to live on in CBN and The 700 Club. Since its beginnings, the show has broadcast the Gospel to millions of viewers, it has shared incredible testimonies of real lives changed through Christ, and it has touched the lives of thousands through the generosity of partners through disaster relief and aid for those in need.

“My replacement will be my very capable son, Gordon, who will take over as full-time host of the programme.”

If you have watched The 700 Club recently, you would have seen that Gordon is now the daily host alongside Terry. Pat will still appear on monthly, interactive episodes where he answers viewer’s emails.

Pat will now be devoting all of his energy and experience to full-time training and equipping of their 11,000-strong student body at Regent University (which he founded in 1977).

We, as CBN South Africa, are incredibly grateful for Dr Robertson’s incredible vision and obedience in creating CBN, for his wise leadership, and for the opportunity we have been given to share the Gospel and impact the nations of the Southern African region through CBN.
