CBN Africa has a huge vision to support and strengthen families by the creative use of media products, services, and humanitarian aid. This year we intend to appeal to as many people as possible to join hands with us to carry out this great vision!
Most of the work we do is sponsored by the donations we receive from our generous partners. However, we’ve always wanted to get more people involved. Alas! The 700 Club Nigeria has come up with a grand idea. This idea will enable as many as would like to be a part of this ministry to join hands with us to reach the less privileged through a project called Telethon.
“A telethon is a televised fundraising event that lasts many hours or even days, the purpose of which is to raise money for a charitable, worthy cause”.
From the above definition, it is clear that we want to raise funds, and this is our worthy cause, to sponsor:
– Our humanitarian works, some of which include providing FREE medical care and surgeries in rural communities, drilling borewells in arid regions of Anglophone West Africa, providing disaster relief materials to victims, giving scholarships to children orphaned by HIV/AIDS, organizing women and youth empowerment programs, reaching students with the Gospel of Jesus Christ through entertainment education, and so much more.
– Production of our various family TV programs, like The 700 Club, You Were There, One Cubed Naija, Living the Life, Turning Point International, and Superbook. We are also introducing a new program called “Heart to Heart”. We are very excited about it, and we are sure that you will love it too! It may also interest you to know that 5 out of these 7 programs are produced right here in Nigeria through the generous giving of our partners.
This is our vision, and we’re using this means to specially invite you to join us to make it a reality!
Unlike any telethon you might have seen on TV, we are going to do things a little differently. We will be broadcasting our telethon LIVE online, via Facebook Live. The broadcast will begin from Monday, October 9th – Friday, October 13th 2017, at 1pm everyday on our Facebook page.
This is a great opportunity for God to use you to further his Kingdom in Africa. We hope that you would take advantage of it.
