Teaching children the Word of God is the only way of preparing them to make the most important decision of their lives—where they will spend eternity. A wise man, through observation and the Holy Spirit’s inspiration, came to understand this important truth: “Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it” Proverbs 22:6. Orphans Promise East Africa hosted our first ever Superbook event on 09.09.2017 at the Nairobi’s Children’s park. Our aim was to provide a balanced fun day with lots of opportunity for the children to experience the presence and power of God and enable them to make friends from other Superbook club members.
A total of 279 participants of all ages were in attendance and it was a blast!
The day started off with a word of prayer from Gideon, a CBN Kenya Staff after which the children praised and Worshiped Yahweh our King and got on to the business of the day.
From Coloring Contests, Bouncing castle for the young, Tug of War, Ball Games, Bicycle racing, Sack race, Treasure Hunt
and best of all…Free Lunch and Snacks for all! It was a day full of all sorts of fun filled events.
The children really enjoyed themselves with the highlight of the day which was meet and greet with Gizmo.
For Superbook session the children got into groups so that they could watch Peter’s Denial and Daniel episodes. We firmly believe that Children need to encounter God for themselves in salvation and then be disciples who develop a relationship with God and that’s why after every Superbook session we lead the children who are willing to the Lord. In this event, we led 174 souls to Christ which we can only give God all the glory and honor!
