This was a highly anticipated Superbook Holiday Club by the friends of 5 unique townships in the Southern parts of Cape Town – Ocean View, Masiphumulele, Redhill, Capricorn and Overcome. These areas are flooded with poverty, drug abuse, and neglect lingering over many of the children.
Lives are touched with Superbook
The Superbook team partnered up with our friends at Living Hope to create a Holiday Club in order to bring hope and excitement to these areas. Most of the children knew that it was coming and that the fun and games were going to be something to look forward to. As in the previous year, the numbers kept growing. It was amazing preparing and seeing the ministry in action and how the Lord is at work in these poorer communities. Children’s lives are being touched by the work CBN is doing through Superbook. Between 130 and 200 children per day for the week were reached with the message of Jesus through Superbook.
There was an enormous amount of work put in by the team (CBN South Africa). Not to single out anyone in particular, but Anne-Lize went the extra mile to make sure that each child received a goodie bag, which were filled with a message which would be very appropriate for the remembrance of Jesus Christ; it was a message which gave hope and light to these littles ones.
As we prepared, a Scripture sunk into my heart, “Do not despise these small beginnings, for the Lord rejoices to see the work begin, to see the plumb line in Zerubbabel’s hand.” Zechariah 4:10.
It went to show that the team was determined to see this event happen in the most powerful demonstration of God’s power.
It was great to see the incredible impact this Holiday Club had on the various communities. Just seeing the smiles on the precious little ones’ faces was amazing. It was an opportunity of ministry and I believe that CBN brought love, hope and faith into all their lives.
We are so thankful to our partners for all their support, donations and prayer. Without YOU, none of this work would be possible.
