One final blast on the trumpet of hope is to remind you that hope is always near. If you are a born-again believer, hope lives within you. It is Christ Himself who resides in you, for your sake. He has chosen you as His vessel of life, love and hope. Not only is hope constantly available to you, but also through you to those around you.
“ To them God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.” – Colossians 1:27
“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” – Romans 15:13
We need only to look inside, to remind ourselves of who lives in us when we are faced with hopeless situations and realize that we are full of HOPE, because we are full of Christ!
Steve Backlund says, “there are no hopeless situations, only hopeless people”. There is something profound about this statement because it denies us of making excuses to blame anyone or anything else for our own hopelessness. Situations are not hopeless, because to God, nothing is impossible. As people, we are hopeless when we don’t have Jesus or when we forget that Jesus lives in us.
Hope is near because you are full of Hope, you are full of Jesus. Hope is alive, because He is alive in you.
